Shout out to Scott

As many of you know, I have some pretty severe pelvic pain which has really effected (affected?) my daily life. I can only walk short distances, can’t stand too long, and can’t lift Ava at all. I haven’t been professionally diagnosed but I am pretty sure I have pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain.

Scott has really stepped in and for that, I feel incredibly lucky (and loved)! He does the dishes, picks up the house, grocery shops.. etc. Last Thursday, Ava’s school had a field trip to the zoo. Scott took the morning off work to take her. It was definitely not zoo weather so he stopped at D&B and bought matching carhartt sweatshirts!

Also, Scott took Ava to Cascade for the weekend just so that I can get some r&r before baby arrives. Thank you Scott for all the incredible things you do. I am so blessed to have you! I love you.

Minnesota Highlights

We have been anticipating going to Minnesota for a long time now to visit our good friends, the Harwoods. Well, April 9th finally came and we headed to the boise airport.

We went to Gale Woods Farm near Ben and Niki’s house to see baby animals.

Scott called this stroller the “fun bus” and the girls LOVED it! They also enjoyed slushies and had red and blue faces. Lots people would laugh at how cute they were with their messy faces!

We had so much fun! We left cold weather in Boise and arrived to beautiful weather in Minnesota. The girls were so cute together! Sophia referred to Ava as her best friend… “Where’s my best friend?” Ava didn’t sleep the greatest so she was pretty emotional but she still had a great time. Yesterday we were talking about the differences in Idaho and Minnesota and she asked which one I liked better. Then I asked her. She replied, “Minnesota because my best friend is there.”

Thank you Ben and Niki for a wonderful time! We really appreciate you putting up with us for an entire week! We really felt at home.

Ava fell asleep on the plane coming home. This is how we pushed her through the airport.

31 Weeks!

Wow.. only 9 weeks to go! I can’t believe how time has gone by so quickly. Although I was super busy teaching while pregnant with Ava, 9 months seemed like an eternity. Now, I don’t feel like I am going to be ready for this one! I still have diapers to sew, our bedroom to rearrange, a garage to clean, and lots of cabinets and drawers to organize. And I still don’t have a single girl name. Which probably means it’s a girl. Of course there are some girl names I like for a week or two but I just haven’t heard “the one”. Poor little girl will be nameless for days after it’s born. Unfortunately we don’t really have days to choose a name. We are going to Denmark in September which means the little one is going to need a passport! How in tarnation are we going to get a passport in time? And this poor child’s going to have its newborn face as its passport pic for like 10 years.

Here are some current pictures of the baby belly! I even have a short video of the baby bouncing around but I need Scott’s help. For some reason I can’t get my videos to upload. Scott! I neeeeeeeeeeddd you! I mentioned this problem late one night and he told me to remind him to look at it the next day. Of course I forgot so the problem still remains. Maybe I’ll remind him tomorrow. Ha! Not with this forgetful brain of mine!
