Last weekend our new flooring had arrived so it was time to get busy installing it. We put down about 400 square feet in the living room and hallway, and have about 200 square feet to go since we decided we will do the master bedroom as well. Just for fun I set a camera up on the wall to snap a picture every minute to make this time lapse video. We’ll be glad when we’re done!

Late summer in Cascade
Last weekend we went to Cascade since we hadn’t been up there in a while and were looking forward to the cooler temperatures and relief from the smoke that has choked the Treasure Valley this summer.
Enroute from Boise to Cascade- Ava, Annalise, Teddy, and a whole bunch of baggage.
Annalise discovered the intercom and we thus our in-flight entertainment was Lise yelling “HEELLLLOOOO!!” into the intercom every five seconds.
65W safely moored at Cascade for the night.
We went to McCall for a bit and saw two AirCranes sitting on the ramp so had to swing by and admire these beasts. After talking to the crew, burning 8 gallons of gas per hour didn’t seem too bad compared to these 9000 horsepower behemoths.

On the way back to Cascade, something about the noise and altitude of flying usually puts the girls to sleep, and this was no exception.
The highlight of the trip was going to Herrick Reservoir, which was nearly empty. But there was a creek flowing in, and in the mud surrounding the creek were thousands of frogs. So many frogs you had to be careful not to step on them while you were walking. We spent hours here catching frogs and the occasional snake.
