Last weekend we went to Cascade since we hadn’t been up there in a while and were looking forward to the cooler temperatures and relief from the smoke that has choked the Treasure Valley this summer.

On the way back to Cascade, something about the noise and altitude of flying usually puts the girls to sleep, and this was no exception.
The highlight of the trip was going to Herrick Reservoir, which was nearly empty. But there was a creek flowing in, and in the mud surrounding the creek were thousands of frogs.
