More house work

We had a good weekend, I finished staining the deck. We stained it a
light brown, “Fawn” as Behr calls it. Took almost all of the 5
gallons. I also got the sinks replaced in the upstairs bathroom with
some white porcelain sinks and new chrome faucets. And, I replaced
all the crappy valves and supply lines for the hot and cold to the
sinks. I put in the compression fitting ball valves that I like.
Next weekend we’re planning to rip up the carpet in the bathroom and
put in some vinyl flooring, and while we’re at it we are going to
replace the toilet with a white one. Slowly we are getting rid of
all the 1970′s harvest gold appliances and fixtures that plagued the
1970′s. I fired up the lawn mower and got the front lawn mowed but
then it started to rain. This week I am going to be working on the
back yard and get some borders in place in preparation for the bark
we will put in.
