The three of us drove to Horseshoe Bend on Saturday morning to watch Mom and Dad burn down the house on their property. It was quite a show. Photo gallery link to all the pictures here<\/a>. Ava just couldn’t wrap her head around why someone would purposely burn down a house (to build a new one in the same spot in this case).<\/p>\n

Here’s a few highlights. The fire department supervised the burning and was very helpful.

Started small in a corner of one room.

But after about 5 minutes it was a roaring fire.

We had to leave before everything burned down to the ground, but it didn’t take long to get this far.

It was a perfect day for burning, very little wind kept things in control.
