Cascade

We went up to Cascade last weekend to cut a Christmas tree (as is tradition).

Farley likes to wedge her snout between Annalise’s seat and the front seat.

There was just barely enough snow/ice on the street for sledding. We made many, many trips up the street sledding with the girls. Annalise and Ava both liked sledding, and Ava really loves holding her little sis on the way back up for another run.

For some reason this is hilarious to me. Annalise is trying to put her pajamas on, then gets distracted after finding something on the floor.

The joys of getting children ready to go out in the cold…

And finally, our humble Christmas tree. We’ve grown to prefer the skimpy native trees that can barely handle the weight of lights and a few light ornaments. Ava and Annalise are busy every day making some new ornaments to hang up.

Love all the videos, but it makes me miss the girls and the cabin! Your Christmas tree is the best ever…my favorite too. I am so looking forward to Christmas, and a new year to spend more time with everyone! Thanks for the darling picts!

ha! i guess no matter where you live, the battles of putting on winter gear are the same! i’ve always thought of video-ing the process of getting the winter gear on the 3 boys cuz it really is just a huge chaotic pile of mittens, boots, scarves, hats, snow pants and coats. and your tree is so lovely. much more festive than our fake one. if your girls wish for more winter fun, you can always venture here where the snow lasts till may!

We miss the Christmas tree adventures! Not too many evergreens in this part of Minnesota – unless I start considering those I see in the neighbors’ front yards. Hmmm….
