I had the very best weekend with Ava. We spent Friday morning doing crafts and lounging around the house. We didn’t get dressed until 3:00 in the afternoon! That’s when the sunshine broke through the clouds and we took advantage. Ava rode her tricycle while I walked Farley around the neighborhood. Then we went into our backyard and drew on the sidewalk with chalk. Ava told me to draw my wish while she drew hers. We both took about 5 minutes to draw and then she asked to see mine. I showed her my drawing of a happy, healthy baby then she showed me her drawing of a garden. SO cute that she’s wishing for a garden! She wanted to grow arugula, chives, tomatoes, and mint.
Scott left early Saturday morning with his dad and brother to replace all the plumbing at the cabin (amazingly enough, they finished the entire cabin in ONE day..great work guys)!! Ava and I spent Saturday morning at my parent’s house, then we decided that Saturday night was our date night. Ava wanted to go to her favorite restaurant, Sa-wad-dee. It’s her favorite because she can order rice in the shape of a teddy bear. After dinner we went out for ice cream. We sat at the kid table in the ice cream shop, flipping through the cake book together, licking our ice cream cones.
My friends were getting together that night for food and games.. I usually can’t make it, but Ava was in such a good mood we decided to stop by. We enjoyed another dinner and some birthday cake. We got home around 9:30 so Ava and I got ready for bed. She slept with me and just before falling asleep she whispered, “Mommy, I love you all the way to the moon.” I love her so much! It was such a lovely weekend. I don’t have any pictures to go along with this post. I just wanted to write it all down so that I would never forget it!
